Ms Christie has been an outstanding and highly committed English teacher for both Jeremiah (since Primary 3) and Jacob (since Primary 2). Her consistent guidance has significantly strengthened their confidence and mastery in comprehension, writing, and overall language skills.

She demonstrates a keen ability to customise her lessons to each child’s needs, delivering sessions that are both engaging and highly effective. Her clarity, patience, and unwavering encouragement have enabled the boys to make strong and sustained progress.
We especially commend her initiative in organising a learning trip to the Botanic Gardens during the June holidays, which was both enriching and thoughtfully designed to extend learning beyond the classroom.

Kaye was at the end of term 2 of Primary 6 when we engaged Christie as she was underperforming at another tuition centre, averaging AL 4-5. The previous tutor also told us it would be hard for her to improve to AL 3 at her current pace. After the switch, Christie worked closely with Kaye on her weak areas and we started to notice subtle progress in her English.

What I greatly appreciate of Christie is her no nonsense attitude and straightforwardness to both student and parent. Kaye also found her lessons way more useful and intentional than that of the previous tuition centre. To our pleasant surprise, Kaye achieved an AL 2 for her PSLE English, a 2 band improvement in a short period of time! That is no mean feat and we are grateful to Christie for her tutelage.

My P4 son has been with Christie since 2025 and we have seen marked improvement in his English this year. English has always been his weakest subject and he was struggling with vocab and composition. Christie guided him with the use of word bank book and encouraged him to apply useful phrases to his writing.

She also tries to encourage his sense of curiosity by engaging him in current affairs like exploring the history of Genghis Khan. She is friendly but firm at the same time and holds her ground well as a teacher. Kyle improved from 70 (P3) to 81 (P4) for his EOY English grade. We hope to witness even greater progress in his English.
